As someone who enjoys the winter and Christmas, I wanted to compose something that echoed that sentiment, but in a bit more of a solemn way. I have always seen the Christmas color, red, as more of a scarlet color and enjoyed explaining why in this piece. This piece is voiced for SATB divisi a cappella.
