During my second year as a choral scholar at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church in Austin, I remember one of my very good friends, Nathan Thompson telling me that there weren’t many popular arrangements, of the Christmas tune In The Bleak Midwinter. After getting permission from my church choir director Mark Reed, to write something for the choral scholars to sing for Lessons and Carols, I decided to write an arrangement of In The Bleak Midwinter. This arrangement encapsulates some of my love of the winter and the spirit of Christmas.
