This piece was written for the Tenor-Bass section of the Adult Choir I am a choral scholar of. I think what made me gravitate so much to the verse that my choir director, Mark Reed chose so much, was the simplicity of it, while also being full of emotion. I wanted to take the spirit of that, and apply it to this piece. I rarely get to write for tenors and bases, so this meant a lot espeically.
